Deforestation is a common problem. There are two sides to the argument. Both are equally agreeable and understandable. For example, if you continue deforestation, there will be more jobs for people to make a living. On the other hand, if we can discontinue deforestation, there will be healthier living conditions for wildlife.
The best possible solution would be to have half of each. Unfortunately, let’s be realistic. Thousands, ten thousands, even millions of wildlife homes have been destroyed by deforestation.
It is like a food web, but with space and food. The more our population increases, the more food and space we’re taking. We are slowly but gradually pushing out other creatures for our own needs.
We all make a footprint, and many times take but not give back. For every tree cut, plant 3 more. For every pen of animals slaughtered, nurse 3 pens more. For every habitat destroyed, make 3 new habitat.
We keep animals running from us all the time. They finally settle down in a foreign land and a month later the lumber camps are slicing away their homes and they’re on the run again.
The problem is, nowhere is safe. We need to reserve land for them to rest, to escape the scary feeling of not having a safe place to call home. This could drastically change things and could lead to a better life quality for animals and us.
Perhaps if there were more recycling plants built, it would have many jobs for the taking and could help encourage recycling. Sadly, only 9% of plastic is recycled globally. In the future we are hoping to make a lasting impact on our community.
